This is the best way to live a good life. Hack your biological circuits. Meditation is one way to hack the circuits. Meditation causes fundamental changes at the hardware level. Autosuggestions might help a little but don't count on it. Faith, religion can cause some changes at the hardware level. If you have blind belief in something, it gets translated to the hardware level. Let's call it middleware. The hardware is always the first to respond. The software comes later. Hacking the hardware is the best way to get whatever you want. Come to think of it, hardware could be likened to a machine learning system. With enough samples, the changes start to seep in at the hardware level. Most of the strong wiring is done at the child stage. Strong connections might be the reason why it is difficult to overcome the hardware.

Love happens at the hardware level. The software can make an effort towards love which may or may not get translated into hardware. It is important because it provides a sense of security and safety. Especially for women. Women need l ove more because of the disadvantage in the evolutionary paradigm and dependence on males . But IMO, it is not necessary. All the talk about loving at the software level is not really practical. It will create cognitive dissonance. It is only useful if it gets translated into hardware through rewiring of the circuits.
