On Weight Loss
Too much weight has become a concern. General body movements have become difficult. I need to lose at least 10 kgs immediately. Rest can be lost over a period of time.
I am focusing on weight loss by exposing my body to cold. This should increase brown adipose tissue (BAT) and thermogenesis. It is not difficult. It is slightly uncomfortable. I am living almost naked to develop more BAT.
Also intermittent fasting by consuming 1 meal per day. Also calorie restriction. It is mostly about your state of mind. Fasting for extended periods of time can break your addiction.
30th Jan
4:15: I feel hungry.
31st Jan
6:30: I think my body has adjusted to the one meal routine. I do not feel hungry. It is all about breaking the addiction by being aware and exercising some will power.
2nd February
Intermittent fasting is going fine.
5th February
Minor lapses in the one meal program. Intermittent fasting going fine. Need to add exercise. My back is giving me some trouble.
6th Feb
I have kind of settled in a routine. I don't have access to regular food and facilities. Kind of making the best of the circumstances. These are the things I usually eat:
1. Boiled eggs
2. Boiled potatos
3. Curd
4. Peanuts
5. Egg Bhurji
6. Cheese sandwich
7. Bhujia, Bread Bhujia
8. Maggi
9. Rice and Pulses
10. Dahi Chuda(flattened rice)
11. Kadhi (Gram flour and curd)
12. Poha
13. Sprouts cooked and raw. Technically, it is soaked beans because sprouting doesn't happen in cold weather. I will start providing them the right conditions.
14. Curd Sandwich
I guess I am maintaining a deficit of about 500 kcal. I do feel lighter.
Ate a lot today. Will have to fast for whole day tomorrow.
7th Feb
Had peanuts, curd, and 4 boiled eggs. Tomorrow onwards my diet is going to be super healthy. Will clear out some of my existing stock before ordering anything new.
8th Feb
Had egg bhurji sandwich. It was tasty. I feel lighter and fitter. Had some poha. Things are falling in place food wise. Am increasing physical activity also. Have become obsessed with fitness. Need to become normal again. Have to realize it is a long term game.
9th Feb
Had left over poha and cooked sprouts. Intermittent fasting going fine. Tomorrow I will have curd sandwich and left over sprouts. No more weight loss study. I know enough.
10th Feb
Cold is tough. Extremeties get fucked due to cold. Enough of this naked shit. I want some comfort. Had a poor version of curd sandwich as did not have any butter or other ingredients. Had cooked sprouts. I think one meal per day is not for me. I will continue with intermittent fasting. Overall fitness has improved significantly. No back problems anymore. I am continuing with the cold plan. A few months of discomfort is no big deal. Lets see if my BAT cells increase.
11th Feb
Had a sandwich today. boiled potatoes with raw onions and tomatoes. nice. Also had some curd. I have definitely lost weight. Cold exposure continues. I have been going way too easy on the carbs. I figure shouldn't be a big deal with IF. I feel content and peaceful. I will minimize refined carbs. Will focus on complex carbs.
12th Feb
Have figured out most of the things about weight loss. Had some peanuts and kadhi rice today. Not going to eat anything else today. Kadhi was not good. I need to start exposing my body to more cold. I guess I am following the one meal plan. I feel like going on a water fast for a few days. I think I am consuming my calories between 9 and 11 am.
13th Feb
Had peanuts, scrambled eggs (5), and sprout salad.
14th Feb
Had peanuts, scrambled eggs (5), and maggi (2 packs). I have been eating too many eggs. Will take a break from eggs for a few days. Tomorrow, will have rice and soya. I am going to quit smoking for at least a while. I have been experiencing a lot of adverse effects of smoking.
Will definitely add exercises tomorrow onwards.
15th Feb
Negative emotions definitely stimulate hunger. Need to control it. The hacking is relentless. Fucks with my brain. Makes me want to eat more. I am going to binge eat. Fuck fasting. Hacking stresses me way too much. It is not very unlike rape. Back to focusing on hacking.
Had 2 eggs with 2 maggie. Done with fasting. Hacking is too stressful. Had a few cheese sandwiches.
16th Feb
Minor lapses timing wise. Fine calorie wise. Had a few cheese sandwiches and some curd. I need to build strength.
17th Feb
If I rest in a lying position, I dont feel hungry. Otherwise I feel hungry.
Had rice with aloo kadhi and green veggies. It was pretty good. Ate too much.
I don't think one meal a day is good for obese people. It may be good for athletic people. Maybe spread the meal over 4 hours.
18th Feb
Had rice with fried eggs. Heater gave out it the middle of cooking. Will fix it later. Intermittent fasting going fine. I need to add exercise.
19th Feb
Had a few sandwiches, peanuts, and curd. Did some chores. There is really not much to do here. It is a pretty easy life. I could probably live like this forever. Completely stress free life. Fixed one heater. Second one needs more work.
20th Feb
Had rice with kadhi, potatoes, and green veggies. It was good. Heater took a lot of time to fix. Difficult to work without a screwdriver. I feel fitter and lighter.
21st Feb
Had leftover rice with curd. Had some peanuts and cheese slices. Had a coconut at 3.
22nd February
Had cheese sandwiches. Have got a stomach ache. It is quite unpleasant.
23rd February
Got sick yesterday. Ate chowmein and manchurian. Had some soft drinks.
24th Feb
Had a few maggis and bananas
25th Feb
Had some peanuts and bananas. I feel lighter. Intermittent fasting going fine. 24 tv series has disrupted my life.
26th Feb
Had curd sandwich, cabbage, cheese, peanuts, and 4 boiled eggs. Did some physical activity. Ran a bit, walked a bit, did some jumping jacks, and 4 pushups. I am going to include an hour of exercise in my daily routine. Half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening.
27th Feb
Cheat day. Ate a lot of wai wai noodles. Had 4 bottles of amul cool. Did a lot of chores. Had some green tea. Had 6 boiled eggs. Learnt a new trick with boiled eggs. Leave the eggs in hot water for some time. This will reduce the boiling time.
28th Feb
Ate 4 maggis, 2 apples, and some peanuts. Ran a little. The body is getting back in sync. Agility has improved. Feel good. Had green tea. Took out a thorn from my foot. No more barefoot running. Ran a little bit in the evening. Need tighter shorts. The only thing that motivates me is revenge.
1st March
Did some squats and jumping jacks. Also did some kapalbhati. Definitely need tighter shorts. Cant run in loose shorts. Most of the time is spent tugging at the shorts. Had khichdi with potatoes. The pressure cooker is pretty good. It mashed everything. Finally, will be able to make good dal fry without too much effort. The heater finally came together. I feel quite fit and light. I have not felt this kind of energy for sometime. Will roast semolina today. Will use it for upma tomorrow.
I am going way too easy on the carbs. I should reduce my carbs. I will definitely undertake a 15 day water fast after a week. It is the simplest way to speed up weight loss. Water fast should be broken with adequate consumption of protein to rebuild any lost structural proteins. IMO, water fast doesn't lead to drastic metabolic slowdown because the body has continuous access to fat stores. It will reduce it some. Plus it has the added advantage of autophagy and cleansing. This should have a beneficial effect on overall health. But I do fear damaging vital organs. Lets see.
I think 2 meals spread over 3 hours is better for me. I can use the time in between meals for chores so as to keep the glucose uptake high and avoid converting carbs into fat. Carb cycling and stuff.
Jogged a little. Taking it slow. Lower part of the leg starts aching. I will gradually up my running time to 30 minutes. Right now it is only about 5 minutes. Still it is something. I have been mostly immobile for the past year. It will take some time to get back into rhythm.
2nd March
Started meditation. I intend to control my autonomic nervous system. My muscles are sore from exercise. Revenge is a powerful motivator. Most of unnecessary eating occurs due to stress. Talking to my family is one of the most stressful things. Missed morning exercise due to stress and rain. My thighs are sore due to squats. Had peanuts, 5 boiled eggs and 2 boiled potatoes. Tried the egg peeling technique by crazyrussian hacker. It is pretty cool. Walked around a bit. Did some step jogging. I feel extremely stressed. I am targetting 10 percent body fat. Eating eggs makes you feel satiated. However, 5 plain boiled eggs leave a bad taste in the mouth.

3rd March
Naked living is not working out. I think it depletes my energy levels and hinders daily activities if the weather is bad. Had chowmein, milk powder, and 3 boiled eggs. Did chores. Stretch marks have started to appear on the skin. Good news for weight loss. Will start resistance training. Pushups, planks, squats etc. Will make some natural weight lifting tools using wood, soil, and stones. Exposed my half naked body to cold winds. Had a cold bath.
4th March
It is better to expose your body to lower temperatures for shorter time periods. Exposing the body to cold all the time hinders daily activities. Going forward, I will try to eat 2-3 boiled eggs daily after my meal. Eggs give a feeling of satiety. I do not feel hungry nowadays and also have sufficient energy. Did 35 squats. To circumvent the weather issues, I am going to make some arrangements in my room. Made a one pot meal using rice, pulse, potatoes, capsicum, cabbage, and soya chunks. Should be a nutritious diet. It was tasty. Need to reduce the quantity tomorrow onwards. Will add 2 eggs in a cup tomorrow onwards. It will be the ultimate one pot meal.
Intermittent fasting is going fine. Acidity around 7 pm. The incessant rain doesn't allow me to work out in the open. I will have to make necessary arrangements soon enough. I am tired and exasperated of being subjected to the whims of these assholes.
5th March
Had chowmein and peanuts. Was feeling a bit sick. The weather has taken a turn for the worse. No sun most of the time. Makes me depressed. Rested the whole day. I think my body is ready for a water fast. I will probably do a lemon juice fast. No acidity today.
6th March
Had a lemon. Had a poha with peanuts and ketchup. Poha is an easy to prepare meal for bachelors. Did some exercise. Sunbathing was pure joy. I have made decent progress in weight loss.
7th March
Had dahi chuda. Had 5 boiled eggs. I have become lazy again. I will increase my diet slightly and increase exercise. Did a lot of chores. Finally roasted semolina. I had never imagined I would be doing so many chores. I think I have found a healthy living plan for bachelors. Walked some. My muscles are sore from yesterday's exercise.
8th March
Had curd and upma. Sunbathing is fun. Did some chores. Fasting can be challenging. I feel hungry. Am tempted to break the routine. I remind myself of the goal. Will have a cheat meal tomorrow. A lot of fried potatoes and scrambled eggs.
9th March
Walked in the morning cold for half an hour. Did 50 squats and 150 jumping jacks. Felt good. Had aloo jeera (fried potatoes with cummin seeds). Will have scrambled eggs in half an hour. I am taking a zen approach to weight loss. It ensures you don't get burnt out. A number of weight loss challenges can be overcome if you win the psychological battle. Being aware helps. I cant make up my mind about water fast. I will try to make morning walk a regular thing. Decided not to do water fast for the next some days. I am going to focus on fitness. Build muscles, increase endurance and all that shit.
10th March
Ordered a resistance band from amazon. Should help with my workouts. I am going to eat a bit late. I usually get a bit hungry in the evenings. Doing a keto diet in the mountains is not easy due to lack of supplies and storage. I think I am going to do a week of water fasting. Will follow it up with a week of keto diet.
Fasting has become second nature to me. I can do water fast without much discomfort. This is no small feat for a guy who generally eats a lot. Today's water fasting is going pretty well. Will include green tea and lemon tomorrow onwards.

11th March
Feel fine. I am convinced that water fasting will not slow down metabolism significantly. Water fasting has some theraupeutic effects as well.
Walked a bit in the morning. Am not going to exert myself. Fasting can also give you perspective. The mindless consumerism takes a backseat. However, I intend to break the fast tomorrow. I need to prepare my body for revenge. Exercise more. Build strength and muscles.
12th March

My weight loss site has come out better than any other existing site. Am I a god or what? But web development is way too boring. There is no challenge. No fun. Killing people should be fun.
Made one pot meal using rice, dal, soya chunks, spinach, cauliflower,onion, and potatoes. Also had some peanuts.
15th March
Had manchurian, curd, peanuts, cheese
16th March
Had scrambled eggs (5), palak kadhi, peanuts.
