Web Development Progress

5th Feb
Now that I intend to pursue web development seriously, I need to master advanced concepts. The copy paste logic won't work anymore.
Ditched CakePHP. They have changed a lot of things. Plus, the active community seems too small for cake. No point pursuing it.
Starting with Django. MVC experience should come in handy. Python is great for data science, my main goal. Web Development should help support my hobo lifestyle.
Front end is almost done. Rest will come with some practice once I get a laptop.
Django seems pretty easy.

Once I am done with backend, I will move back to hacking.
Going ok. Installed Django 1.6 on hostgator shared hosting. Shared hosting is a pain. The latest python version supported is 2.6. I am not sure how I was able to install Django without activating the virtual environment. I reinstalled it after activating the virtual environment. I suppose hacking is at play.
CakePHP is easier in terms of installation and getting started. However, I am going to stick with Django because of python. Hosted a cakephp site just to tease my detractors. I may stick with cakephp.
Decided to stick with cakephp. There is too much hassle with Django and shared hosting. Cakephp is comfortable territory.

No help in django. A lot of hassle. It is pretty frustrating. Something is working finally.

Am going to focus on front end development for the time being. I think I have to move to a different hosting provider due to the uncooperative behaviour of hostgator staff. Dont feel like doing it anymore. It is boring. Focusing on weight loss site frontend. Backend will be done after getting confirmation from hostgator.

Started working on Django on pythonanywhere. It seems hassle free. Web developmemt is easy and boring. There is no motivation without any challenge. I should never have made acharya's website for 10000. Assholes like him sgould pay at least 25000 for that website. Will focus on frontend for the time being. Hostgator staff is very uncooperative. Useless people. Can't even answer one question directly. Everyone tries to misguide me. It is mentally exhausting. I will have to kill them all.
10th March
Made some progress on front end. For testimonials, I am going to put everything in an array and populate the array in a div using timeout function. A new and simple approach.
For backend, will use pythonanywhere as hostgator is not cooperating. Once I have learnt 1 website, I will move over to a better shared hosting.
11th March
Will try to finish the weight loss site asap. Will move on to options trading site after its completion. Web Devolopment is boring. No doubt about it. I cant even force myself to work on it. It is mind boggingly boring. It is a drudgery.
15th March
Finally Django is running on the web. I think a few things were hacked. The ordeal was painful. Small things keep delaying. Coding requires one to be aware of small things. One change here, one change there. Need a good working memory. But I stand by my earlier comment that it is very boring.
17th March
processed django forms without using the form class or model class. had to figure out everything myself. feel good. i can get a demo weight loss site in a week if  I focus.
18th March
Web development sucks. Way too boring. No challenge at all. I wonder how these people dont quit it. The site is kind of an expert system, hence I will have to write a lot of logic for processing so many variables. Need to find a way to reduce the logic. Maybe some kind of grouping.
19th March
I think the demoralizing machine has kicked into gear. Made some progress on the expert system. It is going to be easier than I had expected. It is difficult to quantify weight loss exactly but it can be done to some degree. I am trying to quantify it to the best possible degree.  There is just no challenge in web development.
20th March
A graphical model, PGM kind, can also be used for the system. First, I will focus on building a simple system using procedural programming. Made a first pass for the diet plan. It has come along pretty nice. Moving on to other sections. Just dont feel like doing it. It is a bit boring. I am 100 percent sure it is better than all the sites out there.
22nd March
The drudgery of web development needs to be endured if I have to finish my sites. Converting them to graphical models should be fun and challenging. Completed the first pass of exercise section. Web development sucks big time. Cant bring myself to work. I suppose I will never find anything I love.
23rd March
Done with the first pass of logic. Will do the final coding and make the draft site version asap. It is easily the best weight loss site ever.
25th March
Good progress on weight loss site. I will try to finish the first draft of the website in a few days. Still dont feel like working.
28th March
No challenge in web development. It is pretty simple. But you have to learn a lot. Made good progress in Django. However, need to understand the fundamentals in more detail. Web development sucks big time.
29th March
Made some more progress on the weight loss site. Developed initial chatbot front end.
