Every cell in your body is crying survival instinct. Yet it cannot survive indefinitely. Herein arises one aspect of the absurdity of existence. Everyone is looking for some certainty, some measure of absoluteness. No one wants to become comfortable with absurdity. Sisyphus is the ultimate example of absurdity. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. There is no redemption, no salvation, just pointless existence. Camus argues that a man's struggle is enough to fill his heart. Maybe it is. But only if there is a hope of light at the end of the tunnel (even though there is no actual light). We fail to see that we are all Sisyphus. The struggle pleases us. In the core frame of reference, the loop is ultimately pleasure and pain circuits. It seems different to us but it is ultimately the same. Life is a multi objective optimization. Maximize happiness, minimize suffering.
