On Artists

Does a true artist really want recognition or fame? Or is it a Howard Roark kind of thing? Is self expression the ultimate joy? Are accolades the ultimate joy? I wonder how many great artists have not been seen by the world. I think a lot of artists see the world differently or more deeply than the general populace.

How do you define art? Art is expression. More precisely, it is self expression. An artist says; this is the way I see things. An artist explores the depths of his mind and body and tries to  express those findings through his work. He lays his feelings on the platter for the whole world to see.

An artist needs independent thinking.
