More On Brain Chip

Brain chip needs to be stopped on me. I cannot take this anymore. Head hurts from lack of sleep. 

I am not against it per se. But it can both be one of the best or one of the worst things to happen to mankind. In wrong hands, it can be the worst forms of torture. 

For right purposes, it can be a great tool to alleviate suffering. Human enhancement is also cool. We may lose what makes us human.  But is being human so important? 

Having fun is another important aspect. Imagine having unlimited sex at your disposal. Or for that matter any type of fun. But I guess most people won't be able to afford it. 

Stopping it is not the answer. Now that it is out there and people know it can be done, someone is going to make it. It can be a rogue unit. Any rich old man will willingly fund it secretly. And it is not difficult to build like nuclear bomb where you need hard to come by enriched fissionable material. It is just some design which can be worked out by some smart people. Elon Musk has broken the barrier. Now others will join. 

So these devices are definitely going to be available on the black market in the near future. Celebrities can't do anything about it. Laughing like stupid won't help ezekiel. There is no stopping it now. Pandora's box has been opened.

Best bet is to regulate it. But can it be regulated? The ramifications can be unlimited. Hacking is the biggest danger. Suppose one bugs/hacks the president of US. We are at the cusp of another revolution. This is dangerous. This is for sure going to divide people. In the near future, I don't see it getting legalized except for some specific use cases. In the distant future, probably yes.
