Take an example of flour mill. No one doea any significant value add. Worker has a good claim on more rights. A new economic theory should be introduced. Valueism. It borrows from all the current economic theories to arrive at a more fair system.

Everything should be value based. It can become disproportionate due to exploitation of the system etc. If everything is fair and no one is getting exploited, then there should not be much issue.

There can be checks to ensure that it doesn't get too disproportionate. But if everything is done in a fair manner, it should be fine.

I get that if you disincentivise excess profits, it will lead to lower levels of exploitation, lesser conflicts, less greed related issues. But in some cases profits can accrure without any exploitation. IMO, areas where there is high probability of profit accruing from exploitation of others or nature, excess profits should be disincentivised.

A lot of things automatically become a game of value. If you are adding more value, meaning you are generating more profit without any exploitation, then you should not be disincentivised. On other hand if you are primarily generating profits by exploiting nature or others, excess profits should be disincentivised.

For a more fair system, I am willing to pay higher taxes if i get corresponding benefits. Say I pay higher taxes for few years but my business goes down later, then I should be able to get some benefits on the basis of higher taxes I paid earlier. In this case, I have less incentive to accumulate buffer wealth because I know my earlier taxes will take care of me. Otherwise I will try to accumulate more wealth. If business runs good as usual, then state benefits.

Achieving equality is not possible. it will lead to collapse of society. Fairness is possible. Less inequality is possible. My self interest is paramount. This is human nature. There shouldn't be any doubt regarding it. I am not going to sacrifice my self interest for others. But as long as my self interest is served, I can look out for the interest of others as well.  Not before that. Self interest can be different for everyone.

The issue is here there is no trust in government. I would ideally like a system where I have more control over the taxes I pay.

I am not against the idea of billionaires. Value based fair game without any exploitation is fine.

Everything should be in harmony with human nature. Otherwise it is bound to fail over a period of time.
