The Mind

Perhaps one of the most complex questions. Can neuroscience completely explain mind i.e. I or ego? Are brain and mind the same? Can the delay in propogation of signals solve some cryptic answers given by spiritual masters and a lot of other shit?

Could enlightenment be some sort of fancy delusion? Enlightenment etc. is probably the only hope for people who are clinging on to their miserable existence. If everything could be explained by science, I guess there will be no reason for a lot of people to live. The psychological and social consequences of a mechanistic view of humans could be profound. Who knows what kind of chaos will such views unleash?
