Understanding Redistribution

There maybe some point to it. People who came before had better opportunities and benefitted the most from these resources. The people coming later did not have the same opportunities, hence are at a considerable disadvantage. 

So it makes sense. It was the government's job to protect but it failed to do so. So some redistribution makes sense. However, it may seem unfair to people whose wealth is being redistributed. 

Either the new generation finds new opportunities or works in the setup of older generation or some redistribution should happen so everyone has more opportunities. 

UBI may stem from this mindset. There is simply a lack of opportunities because it has been usurped by previous generations. 

But too much redistribution is not fair to the wealthy. It should be limited. They worked hard and paid their dues. Especially ones who did it all in a clean manner. The ones who took advantage of the system should have more redistribution.
