On Stock Markets

25th December I think Indian stock markets are overvalued. However, this being a bull market, and the crazy amount of liquidity thanks to crazy periods of low interest rates, I don't think shorting the market is the best option. Macroeconomics are expected to improve. IMO, stocks that make up indexes are fully priced. I n this market, covered call is not a bad strategy. Buy futures or stocks and short slightly in the money call as the market is expected to consolidate. A deep protective put is advisable to protect against a black swan event. It is similar to selling a put but with futures or stocks ,  you can rollover your position, this being a bull market and all. If liquidity dries up, markets are sure to tank as it is not really feasible to sustain such high multiples for long durations. 12th January Interest rates may be very low is US but they are not low in India. Hence, valuations of India and US is not apple to apple comparison. 18th January Markets seem to be g...

On Revenge

I think I will have to make peace with the fact that people are going to rub their lives in my face. Doesn't matter much to me though. My life is more or less over. There is no life without dignity and self respect. The only thing that can give meaning to my life is revenge. Everything was manipulated. Everybody makes mistakes. My mistakes were magnified 1000 times just to make an example out of me. Friends, revenge is the only way to give meaning to my life. I am pretty sure they are using a backdoor or a bug in android to fuck with my mobile. The more you do nothing, the more they fuck with you. Once you get root access, all you need to do is make some calls to the linux kernel. Another way could be to override permissions. I am going to learn networking and linux to hack mobiles and computers. My background in programming and ec degree should help some. Then I will invade privacy and annoy people by shutting down their phones, slowing their apps, hacking the net etc. I think ...

On MIT

I don't know why but for some reason MIT guys are hell bent on making a fool out of me. Sorry to disappoint you guys.

On Sociopathy

I think I am a borderline sociopath. Maybe it is a good thing.

About me

I am pretty lazy, mostly introverted, and generally like to be left alone. Small talk doesn't do it for me. Social conventions make sense to me but they do not appeal to me. I can't blindly follow the herd. There is some defect in my hardwiring. I like to associate with open minded, intellectual, and fun kind of people(I hate pseudo intellectuals). I like to let my hair down once in a while. I also have a sarcastic and comic side. In general, I am a kind and polite person. But I do not mind calling a spade a spade. I am sometimes outspoken and can be pretty opinionated. I do not like superficiality in any aspect of life. Some of the reasons why I do not like Indian culture. Lately, I have developed a less materialistic and more spiritual outlook towards life (sour grapes :) ). I always knew I had an artsy and philosophical side in me. The side has started to surface lately. I have ADD and to some extent spatial dyslexia. Years of mistreatment has left me scarred. I don't...

On Connecting

It is all biological. A lot if it has got to do with alleviating boredom. I don't feel the need to connect.

On Bitcoin

To understand bitcoin, origin and adoption of currency should be understood. Barter system was the trade mode in the olden days.

On Reconciliation

IMO, science can reconcile with religion if we consider different frames of references.

On Women

In the traditional evolutionary paradigm, physical strength was of utmost importance as physical strength was crucial to survival. This led to the subjugation of women by men. Women were relegated to providing comfort and support by using their charms, raising children, doing chores etc. All this resulted in biological hardcoding. However, due to considerable advancements in various fields , physical strength is no longer the most important factor. This gives women an equal chance. Moreover, evolution of pre-frontal cortex allows us to override the hardwiring and make better decisions. Empathy etc. probably also play a role. Some women still subscribe to the traditional evolutionary paradigm. Some want to break free and declare themselves feminist. Some want the best of both worlds. Since a lot of it is hardcoded, it is sometimes difficult to understand each other. Where do I stand? I am all for equal rights. But we need to start speaking the same language. A balance needs to be str...

On Writing

I read that Indian websites typically pay only Re 1 per word. Doesn't make sense to pursue content writing in this form. Too much work and little pay. I think the max is Re. 5 per word. Still not worth it. Writing original content requires a lot of time and work. Rehashing is a different thing. I guess writing is easy work with almost no entry barrier, hence low pay. It can be pursued for sustaining myself.

On Basic Income

Wouldn't it lead to inflation? Where will the money come from? I suppose government will have to print money.  And money printing will sooner or later lead to inflation. Providing a hydroponic kit to people who don't have access to food can be helpful.

On a Life of Pain

Everyone wants a life of happiness. Everyone wants to maximize their happiness. What if I do the opposite? I want to maximize my pain. Lets see how that goes. Stop worrying about happiness. Instead want pain. Could your brain rewire itself? Instead of seeking happiness, it will start seeking pain. Well, I don't think it will rewire. I will not associate with anyone who was involved in this game in any form. I dont need anything my friends. Just want to suffer. There is nothing you can do to induce me to better my life. So many people suffer. It doesn't matter if I also suffer and lead a miserable life. I have made peace with the fact that my life is going to be miserable. Perhaps defiance till death will give me peace in death at least. Life with my family is painful and suffering. The pain resurfaces. I know whatever happened with me should not be a big deal for a grown man. But it is hard to move past it. Maybe revenge will ease my pain. Maybe not. How do I know? Only way ...

On Living Alone

My main desire is to live away from society. I don't want to do anything with this fucked up and messed up society. Live alone and pursue philosophy and writing. I am sick of this world.

On The Bet

The Bet is an interesting short story by Anton Chekov. I think it applies to my life. If anyone is interested in laying out a similar bet with me, I will take it without hesitation.

On Double Faced Behavior

Expose your weak side and you get to see the real self of people. Especially my sister. She has been a pretty big bitch the whole time. Trying to turn everyone against me. Trying to elicit something negative about everyone from me by feeding me leading questions. She has been trying to undermine me the whole time.

On The Binding Problem

It can reconcile various ideologies. I think consciousness is the juncture where all the signals meet. Phenomenal binding as referred by David Pearce.

Black Mirror

I think Black Mirror has got a lot of futuristic elements. One episode is based on something very similar to Neuralink. A few come close to the mobile obsessed culture and tech enabled voyuerism and vicarious living. One episode took inspiration from the pagerank algo to social rank algo. I think we are truly becoming tech zombies (I live in a small village where tech penetration is quite low, so it doesnt affect me.).  Dont you think it is time we became more selective in our approach to technology? IMO, first we need to do an honest evaluation of technology in every aspect of our lives and the benefits and harms associated with it. Then we need to evaluate the need for further progress in that particular field. My personal opinion is pro tech. But the gross misuse or abuse concerns me. A vicious cycle of tech slavery is perpetuated with the advent of each tech.

On Social Media

IMO, social media is going to be one of the main reasons of degradation of society. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc.  may provide relief from boredom but they will eventually result in a movement towards fake culture. The nosedive episode of Black Mirror captures the phenomena pretty well.

On Human Behaviour

I am going to create a mind map sort of thing to explain human behavior.

On This World

Why would anyone want to bring a child in this horrible world?, I sometimes wonder. A similar sentiment is echoed by Morgan freeman in the movie seven. This world is no place for simple people.

On Torture

60 Thousand - Dilip Singh Bahut Paisa - Praveen Sharma Some torture - Monal Narsaria Samdhi - jagdish prasad narsaria Snitch, tall references kapil vohra Mission Impossible - Chatbot anti tech, anti english and some more torture -Durga Prasad Agarwal Most of it orchestrated by my sister. She says we will let the people form independent opinion. All hogwash. Everything is manipulated. Call Signals 1. Not reachable - I am better than them. 2. Not picking - They are better than me. 3. No. of rings - Slightly better not to talk. 4. Picking - Equal to talk.

On Big Bang

What if a different big bang in a different universe resulted in a different set of matter properties? Or perhaps our own universe's big bang resulted in a different set of matter properties.

On Minimalism

I envision a life free from expectations, schedules, daily drudgery.

On Capital Punishment

I am all for it. It sounds a bit harsh. Hear me out. Human life is not precious. Why? We are animals, just evolved. Animal life is not precious.  We have finite resources. We should not waste it on delinquents. We are responsible for making a better society. Better spend it on people who can actually contribute to society. The harm caused by reentry of delinquents in the society outweigh the potential benefits of rehabilitating them. Reconviction rates are very high. Criminals and lawyers have made a mockery of the whole system. Makes one rethink the benefits of correction systems.  Harsher punishments will deter future crime. Sooner or later we will have to priortize. The sooner we do, the better it will be for the whole world.

On Teaching

1. Big picture should be introduced and how the individual concepts fit in. 2. A new concept should be built on an earlier concept. I will soon start online courses. I will mainly focus on finance. It is easier.

Books Update

On Creativity

Do you really need to go through a lot of videos telling you how to write a book? Is it innate? Is it learnable? Is it a combination of both?

On Survival

I have a bit of nihilistic perspective on life. We are trying to survive life. We are trying to enjoy life. We are trying to embrace life, understand life and what not. We keep trying. Can there be life without suffering? What makes life worth living? Life isn't beautiful because it lasts.

On Art and Science

The romance of art is slowly fading away. Science is taking the art out of many things. Everything is being quantified.  I was never the romantic type. But now I feel some sort of pull. It is comforting.

On Cryptic Discourses

Many spiritual masters resort to cryptic discourses and messages. How does it benefit anyone? Shouldn't things be simplified? Buddhas messages and sayings were not cryptic. I wish others also followed the same.

On Originality

Originality is lacking. It is depressing. We need to think more. We should feel free to express ourselves. Our answers should not be restricted to he said this, he said that. Why confine yourself to something that was said 100 years ago? Hasnt society undergone tremendous change? We know more things.

On Being Alone

The mundaneness of the world makes me sick. I would rather be alone than live in this world surrounded by customs and people which dont make any sense to me.

On Philosophy

There is a certain joy in reading philosophy. I generally do not get visual art. But I love reading good prose. It is heartwarming. It is comforting. It is soothing. The melancholy strikes a chord with troubled souls . It talks to you without judging you. It is a reflection of every unexplored abscess of your heart. It unshackles you, unburdens you. It makes you light. It is the best friend for a troubled soul. It makes you think. It makes you wonder. It so ruthlessly yet so elegantly details the struggles of human existence. Oh!The joy I feel when the perfect words combine to create a symphony and capture something in my heart. But perhaps it is only for the troubled soul, the meek souls, souls in need of comfort. The strong ones perhaps dont need it. But can everyone be strong?

On Writing

The girl on quora has ignited the dormant spark. I have found my inspiration. The elegance was refreshing. So simple yet so expressive. It felt so natural and effortless. She was not trying to showoff. The words just fell in the perfect place. It was like a beautifully orchestrated symphony. Thank you quora and thank you girl. Most of the writing I encounter is so tired, so cliched. There is no beauty. A word inserted here or there. The banality makes it a painful read.

On Definitions

Definition takes out the art and makes it a science. We want more art.

On Broken Heart

How does one capture the vulnerabity of a broken heart? The anguish which cannot be described but only felt. When tears are held back lest they not become more ammunition for mocking in the hands of madmen. How does one begin to describe the agony of the heart which has not known love but only sorrow? Oh misery, why have you become my inseparable friend? The indelible imprint you leave on my heart and soul will torment me forever.  I pity the loveless. I partake no joy in being different. It is just who I am. It is not a conscious choice. I have no sense of belonging. If only someone truly felt what I feel. Not just at the surface but feel my whole being. What would it feel like to have every atom of my being reverberate in perfect sync with someone? Alas, I have not been fortunate enough to have known love. Sometimes, in my darkest moments, I give  myself the luxury of hope. I fancy that a beautiful smile will mend my broken heart. A warm gaze will melt away all my pains....

On Being Different

Do we act differently to seek attention? Or is it our naivete? Is it because we are not wise to the ways of the world? Is it our hubris which refuses to accept the brutal nature of this unforgiving life?  Do we mellow down with time? Hasn't society benefitted immensely from people who were different? Why this discrimination? Why the stigma?  Why do we restrain and punish people who think and act differently? Why are we so intolerant? Do different people impinge on our sense of aesthetics and threaten our long standing customs? Do they annoy us because they refuse to conform? Why should anyone have any liberty when we dont have any? Is life really a train track with miles of detour on derailing? Why does every generation thinks it is wiser than the next and intelligent than the previous generation? Different people should be ready to face the consequences. Dont expect a bed of roses. Society will not accept you and will try to bring you down. You have to become mntally ...

On Wind and the Sun

I would like to share a story. The sun and the wind got into an argument. How to prove who is better? They saw a man walking with a jacket. They decide that the one who forces the jacket off will be the winner. Fair enough. The wind gives it the first go. It blows, the man clasps. It blows harder, the man clasps harder. This goes on for a while. Finally the wind gives up. It is the sun's turn. It spreads its warmth. The man takes off his jacket. Morale of the story?..Who can take a leaf from this book?

On Forgiveness

This poem captures the essence of forgiveness. I hope it doesnt infringe on any copyright.

On Dignity

What good is money if you have been stripped of your dignity at every juncture of your life? What good can money do if every ounce of your being has been trounced and degraded? Can money heal you? Can it bring back your lost dignity? These are not rhetorical questions I ask. I ask these to the self appointed moral guardians of society. Why have I been singled out when millions go scott free? I have reduced to handouts from friends and family in the name of justice. Do you really call it justice?

On Identity

It is a pretty good poem. I hope I am not infringing on any copyright.

A Poem

I am going to write a poem.

On Escapism

IMO, escapism is moving away from a problem by immersing oneself in another activity. The reasons could be genuine or superficial depending on the viewer. IMO, the doer at some level believes that he is not indulging in escapism. To another person it might seem the opposite. It can happen because of different worldviews.

On Feel Good

Ultimately things boil down to feeling good. If you can make somebody feel good, you can win them over. Advertisers appeal to this very factor. A lot of people exploit it for personal gains. This is a basic aspect of human nature.  There are certain tricks to making yourself and others feel good.

On Self-Esteem

On Pride

On Ego

On Sex

On Drinking

On Friends

On Respect

Hardwiring.

On Tourism

We travel for fun, relaxation, interests, a break from drudgery of our daily life, spending time together, bonding, adventure, bragging, forced vacation etc. How much of it is herd mentality? How much of it is real?

Wakeup Call

21st November. The problems caused during my climb has highlighted the need for urgent action. I am going to stop smoking and become more mobile in general. Living alone is challenging if you are not healthy. I have decided to maintain basic health. Cutting out smoking. Focusing on moderate exercises and muscle  building .

On Introverts

IMO, there can be varying levels of extroversion or introversion i.e. they are not black and white. The differences may lie in response to stimulus, interests, value system, skills, sensitivity, activity levels, past experiences, insecurities, worldview, and some other neurobiological wiring issues. All or some of the factors can be at play at the same time. IMO, it is not a mental illness. In my case, I simply do not have the physical and mental energy to keep up with this world. I want a relaxed and easy life. I dont need much. Basics will do. A small fund for future perhaps.  5k per month for current living expenses and 5k per month for future savings will do. I still cant get over all the covert bullying. It hurts.

On Socializing

Humans are vain and egoistic. They do not want to be taken advantage of.

On Freedom

Freedom is ones right to live their life their way  provided they dont break any legal, ethical, and moral code. One can play fast and loose with the code to a certain extent but not defy it. Slavery is the opposite of freedom. Throughout our lives, we go about exchanging one form of slavery with another.  A vicious cycle of slavery is perpetuated at our birth. From the moment we are born, we are slaves to necessities and desires. Slavery to expectations follows and then slavery to society. The root cause of slavery is fulfilling necessities and desires. If we reduce our necessities and desires or enjoy doing what we do to fulfill our desires and necessities, we wont have to succumb to slavery. Freedom is not free. Ironical, huh. However, the price paid by everyone is different. For someone, boredom in exchange for freedom from social constraints might be a very high price to pay. Not for me. Someone may exchange mental stress for materialism; for me mental stress is a ...

On Society

Society is a manifestation of collective survival mechanism. Society fulfills our necessities and desires. To a non-thinker, perhaps there is nothing beyond society. As with most of the wordly things, the society gives and the society takes.

On Capitalism

Capitalism is not a problem. Everyone has the right to earn whatever they can by ethical, legal, and moral means. The problem is with unchecked greed. It can cause one to bend, twist, or exploit nature and people. Capitalism provides a lot of scope for proliferation of unchecked greed. The problem becomes one of human nature.

On Boredom

Boredom is a significant force driving human behaviour. Each one of us has a different way of dealing with boredom. What causes boredom? Are we hardwired to engage in some sort of activity? Do we constantly want to experience something new? How does boredom compare against our need for safety and security? How does boredom map to neurobiological circuits?

On Marriage

I dont want comfort and support. I am not afraid of loneliness. I dont want love and understanding. I dont want order in my house. I dont care about feelings. I am not worried about someone taking care of me when I am ill. I want freedom. I want a lot of alone time. I want to pursue many hobbies. I want a stress free life. Should I marry?

For Singles

I am thinking of starting a site for single people. It is not a dating site. I want to address the taboo associated with being single. Being single doesnt mean that your dick doesnt work or you dont have cash. I will also include fun resources for single people. Independent thinking should not only be allowed, it should be promoted. We should not be bogged down by conventions and predefined social constructs. Society has undergone a paradigm shift. It is time for the singles to get their due.

Waking Life

It is a good movie. Introduces good point of views. I will download some good philosophy books from amazon. I would like your opinion on the following: 1. Is the difference between common man and philosophers like Socrates and Nietzsche very  big? 2. Fear or laziness, what is more universal quality? 3. Are accumulative tendencies a result of fear or laziness?

On Technology

I think technology has proven to be a double edged sword. People should stop being slaves to technology. Technology has certainly been an enabler for the evolution of mankind.

Life Deconstructed

Maslov's hierarchy of needs sums up the meaning of life to a great extent. However, IMO, it barely scratches the surface and does not do a root cause analysis (no criticism intended). In this post, I will do a root cause analysis of the different factors driving the hierarchy of needs. I will talk about evolution in general and also consider the meaning of life from a metaphysical perspective. At the heart of human existence lies a very fundamental force; survival instinct. Most of human behaviour can be traced back to this fundamental force. Over a period of time, this force has given rise to various pleasure and pain circuits. From a evolutionary perspective, the brain can be divded into reptilian, primate, and other brain. Engaged nonduality is embracing life without any attachement. This is the best way to practice just being. This is the essence of life.

On Materialism

Materialism is chasing after material desires . IMO, materialism should be pursued for fun and comfort and not for satisfying ego. Your state of mind matters the most. What can be categorized as materislism?

On Love

Is love limited to a series of biochemical reactions? Is there something more fundamental to love? How much role do understanding, empathy, dedication, support, and hard work play in forging the bond of love? How different is the love between mother and child, man and woman, siblings, friends etc. Can we quantify love? How much of it can be explained biologically?

On Dreams and Passions

What makes us chase dreams and passions? Is it to express ourselves? Are we wired a certain way? Is it to stand out? Is it to earn money and fame? Is it chasing happiness? Is it an escape?

On Freedom

The Behavior Series

This is 18th November. I will discuss various aspects of human behavior. It is a modern take on human behavior. I will do a root cause analysis and map the behavior to neurobiological circuits.

Engaged Nonduality

Engaged non duality is embracing life without any attachement. This is the best way to practice just being. This is the essence of life.

On Euthanasia

Happiness Deconstructed

Our bodies have pleasure and pain circuits. Probably everything can be explained from a neurobiological perspective. IMO, happiness can be summed up as: 1. Activating pleasure circuits 2. Avoiding pain circuits 3. Just being 4. Minimizing cognitive dissonance. If you keep activating pleasure curcuits on a regular basis, they will get desensitized or cause other physical problems. Therefore, regulation becomes important. Just being avoids triggering the various circuits. How do you trigger some and avoid some circuits? Behaviour etc. can play an important role in the whole process. Life is not suffering. You can be happy. IMO, once we have done sufficient brain mapping, we will be able to minimize suffering using brain devices. No need for drugs, alcohol, and meditation. We will even be able to rewire our brains. Involuntary suffering will be eradicated to a great extent. The future doesnt seem far.

My Future

Best position for me with my existing skills is to work as a freelancer in data analytics and automation (using python, excel, access, sql, SAS ). Financial domain is the best choice. I will gradually transition to digital marketing(chatbot, analytics, automation). Small scale websites and mobile apps can be made on demand or for personal purposes. No active pursuit. Philosohy and writing can be pursued as hobby. Orchard work can also be pursued as a hobby. All conditional on all forms of manipulation and hacking stopping. Otherwise resorting to begging is my only option .  There is no point in working on a model farm. Too much interaction with unnecessary people. Living in an orchard is the best staying arrangement for me. I definitely do not want to live with my soul sucking family . I need to reconcile my bank account. Something is definitely amiss there. Some parts of the code being hacked is no reflection on me. Why should I bother if the thing works?

Brain Computer Interface

This field looks quite interesting. I will focus on neuro prosthetics and other types of brain computer interfaces. Neuro prosthetics can help solve the mind and brain problem. Lets say there are two entities. Brain and mind. The mind is the abstract part. In case of neuroprosthetics, either the mind thinks of moving the body part and then lights up the brain area somehow or the signal originates in the brain itself.

Best Jobs in the World

Compiling a list of the best jobs i n the world 1. Masterchef judges: They get paid for eating delicious food(sometimes crappy food). 2..

Physics for Atheists, Creationsts etc.

I will try to explain concepts relevant to such discussions. The objective is to find common ground for a more productive discussion Spacetime Time Dilation A moving clock moves slowly. Dark Matter Dark Energy Quantum Entanglement Quantum Fluctuations Quantum Brain

A Scientific Examination of Spiritual Practices

I examine various spirutual practices from a scientific point of view. Kundalini yoga: Seems like getting your nervous systems in perfect sync. The orgiastic state experienced by practioners sounds very much like sex. The chakras sound like mini brains. Vipassana: Cravings and aversion sound like neuroplasticity issue. IMO, Buddha was the first neuroscientist. Meditation and yoga : Nervous system manipulation Chanting: Vibrations etc. affecting nervous system. People probably figured out mantras similar to how scientists figured out science. Saints can be considered scientists. Prayer: Psychological aspects More and more I have started to feel that this whole enlightenment thing is not worth it. There may be something but the probabilty seems very low. There does seem to be collective consciousness but perhaps this can also be scientifically explained.  In conclusion, just being is the simplest way of living a good life and avoiding suffering. Engage in hedonism in good time...

A Comparison of Atheism and Theism

The more I read, the more fascinated I become. Theism: Pros 1. Why does something exist? 2. There are signs of intelligent design Theism: Cons 1. Why life only on earth (maybe there is somewhere else also)? Why other planets and all other aspects of universe created? Why evolution and so much time taken for human beings creation? Maybe initial conditions were being setup for human existence. Timelessness etc. can come into play here.  2. A lot of arguments against intelligent design 3 . Not much evidence. All hearsay. All religions different. 4. A lot of it can be explained by psychological factors Atheism:Pro 1. Could be a random simulation or created out of nothing 2. Has proof of a lot of things Atheism:Cons 1. Cant explain all aspects of universe 2. Cant explain mind control and other associated phenomena happening to me When will we solve this debate? Probably a futile topic but if proved conclusively, it can change our way of living. A middle ground could be th...

On Pain

Emotional pain involves the same brain regions as physical pain, suggesting the two are inextricably connected. Should emotional pain punishment be put on same level as physical pain punishment? The difference being that physical pain is more or less objective whereas mental pain can be subjective (at least to the doer. If we can measure pain levels using some instrument then emotional pain can also be considered objective).

The Mind

Perhaps one of the most complex questions. Can neuroscience completely explain mind i.e. I or ego? Are brain and mind the same? Can the delay in propogation of signals solve some cryptic answers given by spiritual masters and a lot of other shit ? Could enlightenment be some sort of fancy delusion? Enlightenment etc. is probably the only hope for people who are clinging on to their miserable existence. If everything could be explained by science, I guess there will be no reason for a lot of people to live. The psychological and social consequences of a mechanistic view of humans could be profound. Who knows what kind of chaos will such views unleash?

Karma and Neurobiology

After studying a bit of neurobiology, past lives and concepts of soul seem irrelevant. Karma etc. also seem irrelevant. I am not saying that it is not possible (the probability is quite low), it seems irrelevant. One of the things that bothers me is the lack of significant leaps in spirituality and religion. Why does god not reveal himself anymore? Why did he only choose to appear thousands of years earlier? I am kind of losing faith in religion and ancient philosophies. I find most of the theories of karma absurd. Probably everything can be explained at the neurobiological level. What if a person becomes bad due to physical neurobiological damage? Should bad deeds accrue to his karma? Are the majority of people deluding themselves? Reconciliation is such a herculean task.

Satellite TV installation

Download some qsat app and find the specifics of the satellite corresponding to the one in your setup box. Then do the positioning. Not tough if you have experience.

Importance of Words

Prose is important. The way words are said or presented i s important. I think words have certain properties . There is something more than simple prior association that makes reading or listening to a word fun.

Dell charger

Another lesson on offgrid living. Ac Dell chargers can be modified slightly to work from battery. Use a step up converter and connect the output to the pin that goes into the laptop. But that doesnt charge the laptop. Simply runs it. I used a little trick to charge it. I connected the output of converter somewhere in between ghe charger circuit. Not sure if it was hacking.

Death in Animals

I think most animals die by foregoing food and water. Starvation is not a bad way to go. This is how nature intended it. This is probably the way I am going to die. Just writing this makes me feel free. Removes all your worries.

The Great Indian Retail Market

The retail market for fruits and vegetables is explained here. The chain comprises farmers, middleman, c onsumer. Farmer: Can be further subdivided as landowner and farmer. Middlemen: Includes commission agent(comprises brokers (aarthi), subagent), Wholeseller(Shopkeepers, Thekedars), or retailer (comprises shopkeepers, Thiya, Cart) Consumer: Includes individual, family, groups, hotels, restaurants. The supply chain can bypass some of the players.

On Right and Wrong

IMO, right and wrong are not objective terms and have evolved over time. They will keep on evolving.

Silver Lining Playbook

It is an amazing movie. People with emotional issues should watch this movie. I can feel the characters. I feel like I had an epiphany.

What We Dont Understand

We don't understand quantum entanglement. We don't understand the wave particle duality. We don't understand quantum fluctuations and assorted quantum crap. We dont understand dark matter and dark energy. What if the whole universe is wrapped in some kind of cosmic field; the laws of which are beyond our current understanding. What if this field permeates everything in the universe? It interacts with everything. Can that field be consciousness or god?

Human nature and movies

Can the success of movies predict human nature? Do movies reflect the mentality of society? If so,  successful movies are a reflection of our internal desires. Are we a voyeuristic and vicarious society? Living through the lives of others. Maybe this is why I don't connect with most movies. Marketers can take some clues from movies.

The Future of Evolution

What is the next step of evolution? Are we the last in line of evolution? What will our future look like millions of years later? How will survival of fittest play out? Will we understand the true nature of creation? Will we become x men? Will we be able to manipulate different celestial objects? Will we change physically? Were humans the intended final outcome? The mind boggles. Who says being single is boring? Would you rather be nagged everyday or do whatever you want? I choose the latter. People say the novelty will wear off. We will see. Is it possible to predict the future of evolution by studying the past changes? Is there any pattern in the randomness? We can run millions of simulations to identify the possible outcomes. IMO humans will be able to overcome aging. How will that affect religion?

Objective of life

Should it affect our way of living if this world is a simulation? Why does it matter if we are pure consciousness or something else? Why should the objective of life be to realize the fact that we are pure consciousness? We experience suffering due to our hardwiring.  If we suffer, eliminate the causes of suffering. Whatever makes us comfortable should be the objective of our life. People say enlightenment reduces suffering. If we are not enlightened, j ust being is the solution. Just being is the closest thing to enlightenment. My friends there is no objective of human life. Liberation can be objective according to Hindu mythology and Buddha's process of becoming.

Simulation theory

What if this universe is an experiment to see what happens when the creators do something? Maybe many such experiments are being run in other universes. But why so much time to create living beings? Does it mean that the simulators are kind of eternal beings (at least in human timeframe). Maybe it is time dilation. Or did they do it for their future generations? The vastness of the universe (compared to earth) lives nothing to imagination (At least until we find evidence of life somewhere else in the universe). This has got to be an experiment. Life evolved randomly. There are laws governing randomness. Maybe intelligent design was introduced after suitable conditions were found on earth. What if these experiments are part of high school project? Like a video game; only the outcome was not decided in advance. What if the game was copy pasted with some changes? What if the passing criteria was the creation of life? Maybe one of the students finally succeded. I am getting cheeky. Co...

Thinking of doing philosophy/writing

I am thinking of becoming a full time philosopher cum writer. There is no point of doing anything else. This is what I love. Maybe keep working on the farm. I think I can simplify philosophy and spirituality.  Now just need to find an online course.

Novel Update

Finished the first outline of my first novel. It has come out nicely. Wrote a few chapters. It is a good time pass. 26th July:  Made progress on the organization structure. Decided on the modus operandi. 26th November: Sketched some more characters . 28th November: Will write some more today . I have the story more or less figured out. I am focusing on writing individual scenes. Exploring different shades. Focus on philosophy. I so want to write like dostovesky. 29th November: Psychological research is very exhausting . I am capturing the struggles very nicely. 4th December: Decided on the location and methodology for an aeroponic farm. 5th December: Will capture transportation and corruption . Figured a bit of the corruption model. 6th December: A lot of progress made on different fronts.

Nature vs Nurture

Alas I fall prey to the trappings of cliched topics. Need to write something on one of the most fundamental questions.

On Correction systems

Can you fuck up a person? How apt is the adage: Society prepares the crime. The criminal commits it. ? What happens when a person is sent to prison? What is the reform rate? What is the reconviction rate? Are correctional institutes fulfilling their purpose? Is public shaming effective? One of the most fundamental questions that humanity must answer as soon as possible. The future is going to be decided by this very answer.

Emotions in animals

I used to watch a lot of infotainment animal documentaries. I learned quite a bit about animal behaviour. Here I will capture instances of animals showing emotions and collective behaviour. 1. Dolphins exclude ill behaving members from their groups. I wonder if humans took a leaf out from their book. 2. A tigress leads a blind old tiger to a waterbody. The tigress was probably his daughter. 3. Animals fight for sex. 4. A group of lions abandons a cub who had broken one of his legs. The cub' s brother tried to  help his brother but everyone else left him. These are just a few examples.

On Choosing

Once you choose a side, make your allegiance known, you lose objectivity.

No name

It is our identification with ourselves which doesn't allow us to live in the moment.

Root cause analysis

Doing a root cause analysis of things is one of the best ways to resolve your emotions and problems. Always ask why does it matter? How does it matter? My hens were stolen. Why does it make me angry? Why do I feel sad? Why do I feel pained? Because of my attachment to money and ego. I lost money. Failure of business meant failure of intellect. They were hurt. Why am I attached to money? Why am I attached to intellect? Is it nature or nurture? Is it the primitive brain? Has it been conditioned by society? The hardwiring can be overcome if you are aware. But are we that aware? We need a good value system if we are not completely aware. The value system will help in prioritizing our lives.

Reconciling bank accounts

I think my bank account has been deducted unauthorised amounts. Will need to recheck everything. There is something amiss there as well.

My begging experience

I have begged for food and money on the streets. It was painful, interesting, and fun all at the same time. Myriad emotions well up inside you. Pain overwhelms, you feel like crying. A tear manages to escape your glands and comes to the surface. Then you see the irony of life. You laugh a bit. Then you feel free. It is catharsis. You have seen the lowest and it doesn't matter. I am ready to do it again.

On Suffering

Experience it. Be aware. Don't escape it. Make friends with it. This is not masochism. With time you will learn to overcome it. Always ask why does it matter? How does it matter? Just be. Observe your emotions. You will build character. You will build strength. It will reduce your future. suffering. Have a sense of humour about it. A lot of mental suffering is caused due to self importance. Dont give yourself too much importance. Mental suffering will decrease.

On Money

IMO my life will be better without money.  I have no obligations. I have no desires. Why do I need money? Is this coping mechanism, loser talk, or genuine realisation. I don't know. But I do feel that you need to lose everything at least once in your life to gain perspective. But I do feel that I should be compensated for losses because it happened due to manipulation and harassment. Even if I don't get the compensation it is absolutely fine. I can live with it. Now beat this attitude you cocksuckers.

On Meditation

Will try to clear the air about meditation. There is too much garbage swirling out there. A reconciliation is important. Work out your value system first. This will reduce your thoughts automatically. Thoughts will keep coming. Rationalise them. You will keep suffering. Keep rationalizing. Keep compartmentalizing. Just be. Then start meditation. Half of your work is already done. You don't really need meditation. You are meditation. Understand this. This will bear fruit in the long term.

Survival instinct manifestations

Opening Pandora's box. Survival instinct manifests in different ways. Our brain circuits or pathways are wired for different types of  pleasures and pains. Pleasure circuits are activated in case of actions favoring survival whereas pain circuits are activated in the opposite case. In animals there are limited options for activating these pathways. However, in humans the pleasure pathways (even actions which are not good for survival such as drugs) can be activated by different mechanisms. This is the essence of manifestation of survival instinct. Money is a means for accumulation; one of the primary ways in which survival instinct manifests. Ergo money is symbol of survival strength.  I think the things we do with money also activates our pleasure centres. Double bonus. Love as we know it is also a manifestation of survival instinct.

Reconciliation

I am trying to reconcile various ideologies. The objective is to find the essence, simplify things,  and find common ground in order to create more acceptance of each other.  A head to head comparison should be useful. This exercise is not really for me. I have more or less figured out my life path. It is kin d of intellectual masturbation. Do the same fields and energies that make a stone make living things? Is it simply an exchange of fields and energies? Everything is an energy or field (including thoughts) and leaves an imprint in some form on the overall energies and fields. IMO there is pattern in the randomness. I will refrain from calling it intelligent design. Can we explain karma, ghosts, supernatural powers etc using these fields and energies? I think we can. This is probably what spiritual masters call body mind illusion. It is seeing through the gross body and experiencing it as fields and energies. How does physical and mental transformation occur? ...

On Just Being

Just being always resets my thought process. I have to make peace with the fact that since I wish to live life on my terms and not according to society, I will have to face a lot more challenges although of a different nature. So be it.

Dependent origination

Elaborating dependent origination theory. 1. If ignorance arises, reaction occurs 2. If reaction arises, consciousness occurs 3. If consciousness arises, mind and matter occur 4. If mind and matter arise, The six senses occur 5. If six senses arise, contact occurs 6. If contact arises, sensation occurs 7. If sensations arise, craving and aversion occur 8. If craving and aversion arise, attachment occurs 9. If attachment arises, process of becoming occurs 10. If process of becoming arises, birth occurs 11. If birth arises, decay and death occur, together with sorrow, lamentation, physical and mental suffering 12. Thus arises the entire mass of suffering I think the top ones are some kind of fields. Arising of one causes another. Like a rotating electric field and magnetic field. Consciousness maybe the field which permeates all the fields;all the fields have consciousness as the base field.

Timelessness and time

In my quest of reconciling various ideologies I come across many weird ideas. These ideas should be taken with a pinch of salt as they are a layman's interpretation of various theories. In various enlightenment stories people talk about timelessness. How to interpret the seeming weirdness? Imagine there are two dimensions x and y.  An object can move along the x axis and not move along the y axis at all. Similarly if there is an extra dimension beyond space and time you can move along that dimension and not move in time at all. But the counterintutiveness lies in the fact that we can easily understand that one can move along one dimension and not move along another but with time it is altogether different. Space-time fabric, relativity etc can provide some answers.

On Solitude

Is solitude my only companion? I feel weightless. Free from expectations, burdens, nothing to prove.I don't want anything. Just be.

Survival instinct

Most of us are driven by survival instinct. What is survival instinct? Survival instinct is the hardwiring which enables a person to survive. IMO both survival of the fittest and collective survival instinct are at play. Once collective survival instinct need is fulfilled, survival of the fittest comes into play. This is basic human nature. But is survival instinct our only nature? Our true nature is pure consciousness.Survival instinct is maya. We need to s...

Starting my writing career

Will write stories based on real life events. Have got some good ideas. Maybe will convert my off-grid living experiences in an ebook. Did some writing. Enjoyed it. Will have to put some more research to make it more scientific.

Hydroponic farming

I have successfully grown wheatgrass using tarpaulin. It is an extremely low cost solution and can de deployed on a large scale without incurring significant costs. I am quite sure combining hydroponic farming with integrated farming and vertical farming can solve the food problems to a large extent. Grow your own food.

On Money

Society is a survival mechanism. In this age, money is indicative of survival strength. Hence  the obsession with money.

Understanding life

I don’t want to lend credence to the adage “The blind leading the blind” by saying I understand life. I think I have found a way to live that is best suited for me. This doesn’t equate to understanding life. IMO living life on my terms, being aware, not worrying too much are some of the factors that define happiness for me. I am not much of a relationship person. Love etc. don’t mean much to me. Having said that, I do not put too much stock on happiness. As KG says: I would not exchange the sorrows of my heart for the joys of the multitude.

On Just Being

Just being is awareness. It is having  no attributes. It is having no desires, no aversions, no cravings. It is living in the moment. It is equanimity. It is meditation. It is compartmentalizing. It is every moment is important. It is pulling the strings on the harp with the right tension. Niether too tight nor too loose. Just being is the closest thing to enlightenment. Just being is engaged nonduality. When you are aware you can do an objective analysis. Otherwise the automated/conditioned programming kicks in.  Some ways of just being. One is to gradually remove distractions and train the mind. Opening the heart will help significantly. Other is to directly get started living in the moment; distractions will gradually disappear. From a neurobiological point of view, just being activates the pre-frontal cortex which allows us to overcome the hardwiring.

On Depression

Depression is caused due to loss. It may be self-respect, financial, emotional, lack of control etc. I was a bit depressed. I have pulled myself out. I was attacked in all directions. Personal, financial you name it. Every time ask yourself, why do you feel low? Why does it matter? You have to rewire the brain to just be. Once you start just being, you will overcome all sorts of negativity. How do you achieve just being? It is by understanding the things that really matter and don’t matter. It is about embracing every aspect of life with an equanimous state of mind. Once you do this, you will realize you have lost nothing and will come out of depression.

On Pride and Shame

Pride and shame: Do you feel being proud or ashamed of things which we were born into creates boundaries and problems? Isn't this one of the major causes of conflicts in the world?

Survival instinct and problems

We are born into a family, caste, religion, region, country. In these boundaries, we find safety, a sense of belonging, a purpose. But aren't these one of the fundamental reasons of many conflicts?. I suppose this is the way of the world, Perhaps we are hardwired to live this way. You have to take the good with the bad. But should we not pause to think if the bad outweighs the good. Or are the boundaries too deeply entrenched to allow us to think rationally. I believe if we approach the problem with an open mind, we can reduce a lot of conflicts and dedicate our energies towards more pressing problems. Survival instinct, the very premise on which the world is moving forward is the root of all evil. It is a necessary evil, not very unlike friction.

Bias and objectivity

It is too fucking hard to be objective. Bias is so deep seated that we don't even notice it. It lingers in every thought and word. It is very hard to get rid of bias.

Black Mirror

Two episodes of black mirror have striking resemblance with my life.

On Begging

Is it really that bad? No it is not. If you look deeply, it is the perfect act of rebellion. It serves a higher goal, dissolving your ego. It should help you come out of the vicious circle of mindless living.

On Spirituality

IMO no one is omniscient. Whatever the spiritual masters taught were their own experiences. You can see overlap in their ideas. There are multiple ways to practice spirituality. Hence it is not fair to say one is right and other is wrong. Buddha's goal was end of suffering. He answered the question:What should be done to achieve end of suffering? He probably did not go much further once he realized dependent origination and uncreate. He did not feel the need to understand uncreate since he had uncovered the answers to his question. I have always felt disconnected with Hindu mythology. I think I understand some of it now. I think the saints went a step ahead to understand the nature of uncreate. Why so much confusion? How to explain uncreate to someone who only understands creation? It cannot be done. Thus sprung various mythological figures and all sorts of human stories were attributed to them. Just to somehow explain uncreate to someone who only understands creation . UG Krish...

The poultry business math

What is the formula behind a successful business? Minimize cost, maximize revenues. What are the costs in poultry business? 1. Feed is usually more than 50 percent cost 2. Labour 3. Cost of hens 4.Misc Reduce the feed cost by getting waste food from restaurant. To top it, feed protein sources using wormmeal generated from dairy farming. You can easily bring down the feed cost to 10 percent. Plus you get protein which typically is significantly more expensive than carbohydrates. What are the sources of revenue? 1.eggs 2.meat 3.compost

The Dairy Business Math

I was camping in a forest. Nearby villagers used to come to graze their cows. I got chatting with one of them. He explained the math of dairy. Here it follows for 1 cow: Daily milk yield: 8 litres @ 20 rs per litre: 160 rs = 4800 rs per month Cow dung: 0.5 kilta per day @50 rs per kilta = 25 rs = 750 rs per month. Daily concentrate/Feed cost: 2kg@20 rs per kg, 40 rs =1200 rs per month Fodder cost: almost nil in summers. About 4000/ in winters if purchasing. Otherwise you can get grass in exchange for cow dung. Will reduce your cost. Lets assume 1500 rs per month. Labour cost: 2000 (approx) Misc expenses: 500 rs Remove 3 months of milk production when the cow is not lactating. Ideally it is 2 but account for lower milk production due to dry grass in cold winters. 4800*3/12 = 1200 rs per month Total = 4800+750-1200-2000-1500 -500-1200= -850. All in all a small loss. Here comes the optimizaton. Sell milk products@40 rs per litre. +4800 -1200 =3600 Make vermicompost: +1000 rs ...

Model Farm

I am building a model farm. Resource sharing, labor sharing, byproducts and waste products reuse are some of the major benefits conferred by integrated farming. Major components of the farm are: 1.Dairy farm 2.Poultry farm 3.Fish farm 4.Apple orchard 5.Vegetables etc. 6.Farm stay 7.Health & wellness camps Lets talk about the benefits of integrated farming Resource sharing:Same land and resources can be used for multiple purposes. Labor sharing: With necessary automation, same labor can be deployed for multiple tasks. Byproducts and wasteproduct reuse: The above mentioned components have plently of these opportunities
